Is it true that you can get lead poisoning if...?

you don't wash your hands after handling Christmas lights that have a tag that says"
Prop 65 Warning:
Handling the coated electrical wires of this product exposes you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm."
WASH HANDS AFTER USE
Answer:
Lead in trace amounts and with limited exposure time will not harm you The reason lead became such a problem was beacause it was everywhere. It was in paint, pipes, furniture and so on. This exposed people to more than trace amounts all the time, which caused the negative health impact. It can't hurt to wash your hands after contact with lead though.
I would say yes. Why else would they write that on the tag?
That should be illegal to sell stuff like that but if you are if-y about it wear gloves! MAN THAT IS CRAZY!
