i work in a pharmacy and i constantly see people prescribed some type of SSRI, selective seretonin re-uptake inhibitor, along with some type of benzodiazepine, which ares anxolytics.SSRIs such as
Prozac - Fluoxetine
Zoloft - Sertraline
Wellbutrin - Buproprionin combonation with benzodiazepines such as
Xanax - alprazolam
Valium - Diazepam
Ativan - Lorazepamthese combonations occur quite frequently, you should definately ask your doctor or local pharmacist if there are any certain reactions you should know about, but from my experience in a pharm, those 2 mixes occur all the time.
actually welbutrin enhances the effect of xanax and they are often perscribed together. But of course check with a medical professional.
