Answer:
SPONDYLOLISTHESIS is the correct spelling. When it (slipping or bulging of the intervertebral disc) occurs at the level of L5S1 it is responsible for pressure on the corresponding nerve roots ..and this is responsible for the sciatica. You will have pain and numbness in the area of distribution of the sciatic nerve. You have several other pathological problems .My suggestion is : keep your confidence in your doctors and keep taking your medication regularly.Best of luck.
Maybe these will help, just click on them and go through them.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/pain_manage...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/social_secu...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_dis... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/disabilitie...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/invisible_d...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/social_secu...
Truthfully, some in the medical profession don't believe in fibromyalgia. Not to say you don't have pain, but there is an extrinsic source and there is no such thing as "fibro" so your doctor basically gave up on you. If you did have an MRI and it was examined by both a radiologist and a neuro I'd say you have a chance. Once again, I am going to reiterate I don't doubt your pain.
But, the problem is so many are on disability for back pain or fibro that you will get rejected the first time I've heard. Also, I'd say it depends on severity, simply because other people live with the conditions you do have to a lesser degree.
Basically you have inflammation and pinching of your back nerves. Where did you work before? How much do you weigh?
Are you in therapy? Do you exercise (probly not too much with those back problems, but if you do kudos). You should be on prednisone or at the very least NSAIDS.
Get a lawyer for your disability claim, and it should be a good one.
