Is my ibuprofen dosing schedule fine?

I recently had a tendon injury near my heel and today have started taking ibuprofen. I plan to rest my feet until the 27th or the 1st, around 2 weeks. During this time I will take ibuprofen. I plan to take 200mg 4 times a day for a week, and then maybe stop a few days, and restart for the remainder until the deadline. Is this okay? Also, would my body adapt to that dosage in these 1-2 weeks?
Answer:
Ibuprofen can be used to treat a fever, at which case your dosing is ideal, or to treat inflammation, for which your dosing is inadequate. Without knowing your vitals, it would be imprudent to tell you what to take, so I really think you should speak to your doctor or go to a pharmacy and ask a pharmacist (free advice usually). Hope you feel better. All I will say is that I don't think you'll get the relief you're seeking with the dose you're on now.
400mg every 6 to 8 hours is the recommended dosage
.also be carefull not to get hooked on them!
.You are recommended to take ibuprofen every 4-6 hours as needed for pain.Check with your Physician
Med student needs some more classes!
Assuming you are an adult then 200mg is inadequate. Minimum adult dose is 400mg three times per day. You can even go higher but should talk to your doctor.
Your body will not adapt to Ibuprofen, nor is it habit forming/addictive.
