Is methadone treatment (when taken how its prescribed) safe for the rest of your life?

Methadone treatment is nothing more than legalized addicition. If you want to fool yourself into thinking it is going to help you, then you have that right. No, you are going to be addicted to the methadone for the rest of your life. Be proud. (I was recently a juror in a criminal trial involving the robbery of a methadone clinic...I learned more than I ever wanted to about methadone and the clinics that dispense it.)You could, instead, get some REAL help, and clear yourself of whatever addiction you are suffering from (pain killers or heroin, presumably) within just a few months. Yeah, it's going to be a very difficult few months to go through. But that's a far better prospect for your future than allowing some quackpot (with all good intentions) to tell you that replacing your current addicition for a life-long addiction to methadone is going to actually help you.Clear your head...take your life back.

You are only replacing one drug for another. They say it's harder to get off methadone than other drugs..try cold turkey, if you can. These drug centers are a lot of bull. It's the money they care about, not the people!!
