Is it alright to keep your computer on all day?

With the monitor off, does it still take up alot of electricity?
Answer:
It's ok to keep it on all day, with the monitor off(monitor consumes abt 40%).
Make sure you have proper air-conditioning or ventilation to ensure no overheating...Add a 2'nd exhaust fan to ur pc.

Yeah, probably, also i find with my machine, leaving it on all day eventually causes the fan to overwork and start making an inredibly loud noise(and as im told, eventually break altogether and the computer may explode) So, probly not the bext plan.

It doesn't take that much electricity to leave your computer on... Depending on how many times you turn it on and off per day, it can actually take more electricity to do so.
(You should however make sure it doesn't get too hot... T%26#92;Keep the area around in ventilated.)
PLUS, turning on and off your computer is tough on your hard drive, which is intended to stay on all the time.

No it also need rest, other wise it will get over heated which may results in malfunction of computer. With monitor off, it also take electricity, but very negligible.
