Is it ok to take a xanax pill for sleep after you have been off of the med for several months?

Answer:
I do it occasionally but usually there are no significant side effects other than the first thing in the morning blahs. I find though that if I take them 2 or 3 nights in a row some of the side effects return. So once in a while for a night or two isn't going to have any adverse effects.Sweet Dreams!
yes sir
It certainly is ok to take the pill as long as none of your other medications have changed, and you are not drinking alcohol or taking any type of drugs. The only risk you take is building a dependency or a type of addiction to the medication. Sleep aids are extremely addictive, and if you are not careful, you just may have to take them for the rest of your life if you want to sleep.
Hope this helps!
i would say no, as you probably already know, they are addictive. if you are off of them and having trouble sleeping, try an over the counter sleeping pill instead. if that doesn't work, talk to your dr.
It depends on what you mean by ok. Xanax is very very addictive. It seems pretty good at first, but after a while is causes bad side effects and it's extremely difficult to stop. If you're off them and doing ok, taking even one can bring back the addiction. If you'd like to know more about it check out www.benzo.org.uk to see the latest research.
