Is cord-blood banking useful nowadays?
Answer:
Yes it does. The cord blood is full of stem cells. Stem cells it self are very useful in the future meant to save a live of grow another organ. In fact its even more useful nowadays.
Not really. Stem cells look very promising, but there is no use for them currently in medicine. Their potential is being investigated. The places that offer to "bank" your cord blood will charge a fee for storage which is a high fee, and not at all worth it at this point in time.
